Color Prints to Digital

Color printed photographs started to to become publicly available and commonly used in the 1950's.  Although photographs do not contain as much "data" as slides or negatives, the preservation of printed photos is as important as for slides and negatives.  In many circumstances, photographs may be the only medium you have that record your families history.  Given their fragile nature, and that they are as prone to degradation as slides and negatives, it's equally important to convert these into a digital format to preserve their quality as they exist today.

Our scanning process allows us to remove some of the effects time has had on your photographs.

Please review these six examples of color photograph scans, and what our process does to wipe away some of the effects time has had on them.

What's wonderful about this process is that once you've converted all of your photos into digital, the possibility as to what you can do with them is really endless.  Not only have you preserved the photograph in digital format for all time (in a lossless TIF image), but the jpg versions of those photos (also included) are easily shared.  Printing these images is as easy as printing pictures from your digital camera.  Use them in digital frames, put them on your phone or ipod or mobile device, e-mail them to friends and family, use them on your family's website, post them on facebook, or simply print off copies and hang them on your wall.  You're only limited by your imagination, and you'll feel good knowing you've preserved your family's history for yourself, your family and future generations.
